OneMusic releases new licence explainer video

Music licensing can be complicated, but with OneMusic getting the permission you need to play music in your business is simple. In our new video we explain why we exist and why it is important for each business in Aotearoa to have a licence for the music they play.

Cartoon image of a musician playing guitar and singing into a microphone performing to a small group of patrons holding drinks.
It may sound obvious, but videos don’t make themselves.

Charlotte Ryan is the voice of our new video. Charlotte is an award-winning broadcaster with her finger on the pulse for everything music and culture. Charlotte has managed bands, run her own publicity company, worked for music festivals, and international and local touring artists. It has been amazing having her talent lend a voice to our video.

Animation for the video was done by Evie Hilliar @YEEVZ_. Based on Gadigal land, as an award-winning designer we jumped on the opportunity to work her with our friends across the ditch at OneMusic Australia to bring our video to life.
